1) Take the Pledge
I pledge to strengthen my community by working to educate myself as well as transform my relationships, systems, and institutions to undo racism so that we may truly honor our shared humanity and respect the dignity of all.
I pledge to work to teach the youth in my family and community to not fear ideas or people, but to embrace the differences that strengthen us, develop the skills to have courageous dialogues despite any discomfort, and work collectively for equity and inclusion now and for the future.
2) Support Local BIPOC and LGBTQ+ Artists
Art is a powerful way to bring communities together and positively transform society. Support the work of artists like Clifford McDonald who uses art to "create positive social change in [his] community and in our world."
3) Get Involved!
Join the efforts of organizations that are members of the Manasota Anti-Racism Coalition. The Coalition aims to foster communication and build a support structure for local organizations to combat institutional racism and white supremacy.
